IONIA- Irene L. Stout, 73, of Ionia, died Thursday at Blodgett Memorial Medical 
Center in Grand Rapids.

She was born May 27, 1914 in Ronald Township, the daughter of Milne and Lyle 
(Moore) Patrick.

She married Martin L. Stout in Indiana on March 17, 1936.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ionia, and a member of 
the Wesleyan Service Club.

She was employed by Sears in Ionia for many years and also was co-owner with 
her husband of the West End Grocery in Ionia. 

Surviving are her husband, Martin L., two daughters, Barbara Hogan and Louise 
Burns, both of Ionnia; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, 
Donna Grescoviak of Ionia, her brother, Voris Patrick of Twisp, Washington.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Ridlington.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of the 
Montgomery Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Balcom Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 
8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
