She resided on a farm near Stanwood for 53 years. A daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. David Yoder, she was a teacher before her marriage to Mr. Stout in this city in 1901. Mrs. Stout was a member of Higbee Methodist Church near her home where she served on the church board and was a teacher in the Sunday School. She was a sister of the late Viola Spencer of this city. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fordyce Detamore of Grayford, Tex. and Mrs. Ivan Johnson Big Rapids, a son Bernard of Milwaukee and a stepson, Durwood of Deerfield Township, Montcalm Co., 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Higbee Church and burial was in Higbee cemetery.
