Belding Library Files
Carmen G. Stout, 86, 414 E. State St., Belding, passed away today Feb 15,1996, 
at the Belding Christian Nursing Home.  She was born July 16, 1909, in Belding, 
the daughter of George W. and Mabel Norton Cota.  On Aug. 3, 1930, in Belding, 
she married Edgar L. Stout.  He preceded her in death in 1978.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Frank Balanis of 
Menlo Park, Calif; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sally Stout of 
Greenville; and four grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, 
Hazel Cota, in 1929 and Helen Patrick, 1979.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no 
visitation or funeral services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alvah 
N. Belding Library or Belding Museum.  Envelopes will be available at the 
Johnson Funeral Home.
