The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 7, 1970
Belding—Charles Stout, 519 James street, died Thursday in a Kent county 
nursing home at the age of 98.  Born in Kendallville, Ind., November 22, 1871 
he was a son of the late George Stout and Ester Zanders.

A retired farmer, Mr. Stout was preceded in death by his wife, the former 
Jennie Richardson, whom he married January 29, 1900.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Helena Rial, of Belding; Mrs. Georgia 
Angers of West Branch, and Mrs. Lucy Castor of Grand Rapids; one son, George 
of Greenville; one brother, Andy of Lakeview; 13 grandchildren, 31 great 
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Huffman funeral home in Belding at 2 p.m. Sunday, 
the Rev. Robert Lilley of Belding First Baptist church officiating.  Bearers 
will be Fred Briggs, Jr., Charles Briggs, George Stout, Michael Stout, Charles 
Sydow and Jerry Sydow.  Burial will be in River ridge cemetery near Belding.
