Stout was briefly announced in the Banner of last week. the funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Baptist church, Rev. R. A. McConnell officiating. The burial was at the Otisco cemetery in the family lot. Cora L. Snyder was born about three miles north of Ionia City, March 1st, 1871, and was consequently only 29 years and 5 months old. She has always been a resident of this immediate vicinity. For some time previous to her marriage she made her home at Uncle Lew Ellis’ and was united in marriage there to Mr. George Stout, Jan. 24th, 1894. About the first of last January the incipient germs of consumption began to make their appearance and in spite of all efforts to stay the progress of the dread disease it fastened a secure hold upon her, and after much suffering she passed away last week Wednesday evening at about 10 o’clock. She leaves a devoted husband and their little son Durwood not quite five years of age, besides two sisters and one brother, also a large circle of friends, to sincerely mourn her untimely demise. She also had one sister that had preceded her to the great unknown. She as a member of the Lady Macabees and Royal Neighbors, and both orders were in attendance at the funeral services.
