He was 60 years and three months of age. Mr. Stout was married to Miss Susie J. Warner, March 17, 1897 and to this union ten children were born. Two died, one in infancy, another, Mary Jane, on December 24, 1928. Mr. Stout was in the elevator business for seven years at Barryton, Michigan , and twelve years ago moved to Orleans where he continued in the same business. He was a member of the Methodist church at Orleans and for over 35 years belonged to the Odd Fellows. He first affiliated with the I.O.O.F. at West Sebewa, later became a member of the Millbrook lodge, No. 219. Mr. Stout leaves his wife, Zelpha Stout; his aged mother who made her home with him; three brothers, Nathan, of California, Fred, of Grand Rapids, Clyde, of Ionia; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Jordan, of Muskegon, and eight sons and daughters; Mrs. Zelpha Clark, of Lake Odessa, Amon Stout, of Belding; Mrs. Hettie Holland, of Detroit; Edgar, Martin, Martha, Gertrude and John Stout, all of Orleans. Funeral services were held from the Orleans M. E. church Sunday afternoon. Rev. F. P. Frye officiated. Burial was in the Orleans cemetery.
