Ionia Daily Sentinel - 9 September 1935
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Jane Stout Riggs 
at the home of her son, M. C. Stout, Ionia township, with Rev. J. M. Jensen, 
pastor of the LeValley church, officiating.  Bearers were grandsons of Mrs. 
Riggs, Ammon Stout, Edgar Stout, Sterry Stout, Frederick Stout, Freeman Jordan 
and Irwin Heator.  The flowers were in charge of a group of neighbors from 
Sebewa, Mr. and Mrs. Issi Fletcher, Mrs. Mary Sexton, Arch Henderson and Miss 
Mate Henderson.  Burial was at the Baptist church cemetery in Sebewa.

Relatives attending were Mr and Mrs E. L. Jordan and Mr and Mrs William H. 
Thompson, of Muskegon; Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Jordan, Mr and Mrs William F. Jordan 
and Mr and Mrs Fred Stout and family; of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Marshall Townsend 
and Charles Townsend, of Durand; Mr.and Mrs Ammon Stout, of Lansing and other 
relatives and friends from Saranac, Belding, Orleans, Sebewa and Ionia.
