Stowe of Saranac died yesterday at noon, after a prolonged illness. He was the last of his family having buried two wives and his only son, Fred H. Stowe, the well-known attorney. Deceased had been a resident of Boston township for a half century, and was esteemed as a man of the highest integrity and with a kindly heart that made him generally popular. He was a Democrat of the old sort, always faithful and true. He served as postmaster at Saranac for four years under Cleveland. Most of his close friends with all his dearest kindred have preceded him to the other side, where he will receive a warm welcome, if the conditions are as we love to picture them. The remains are taken for interment to Garrettsville, Ohio, the place of his youthful home.
