The funeral was held on Sunday at the home. Milisa D. Jordan was born in Woodland township, Barry county, December 25, 1843, where she lived until her marriage to Samuel Stowell of Easton in 1865. They moved to the farm in Easton, where they lived all of their long married life. Five children were born to them, four of whom, with the father, survive the death of Mrs. Stowell. Mrs. Stowell had been in apparently good health until Wednesday, when she was suddenly taken with congestion of the lungs, and died the following day. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, William of Ionia, Burr of Easton, and Alanson of Easton, and one daughter, Anna Conner of Ionia. Three brothers also survive, William Jordan of Detroit, Dayton and Willard Jordan of Woodland. There are also eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
