John Andrew Stowell, age 45, of Las Vegas and formerly of Ionia, passed away 
Sept. 28, 2009.  He was born Nov. 5, 1963, in Ionia, the son of John H. and 
Patricia E. (Peabody) Stowell.  He graduated from Ionia High School in 1983 
where he played football and baseball.  John was an avid golfer.  He served in 
the Marine Corp as a Corporal.

John is survived by his mother Patricia Stowell of Ionia; children Dan Miller 
of Ionia, Steve (Stacie) Miller of Ionia and Jenna Miller of Kalamazoo; wife 
Lori Stowell of Hastings; brothers, Dennis Cronk of Grand Ledge and Brian 
(Brenda) Cronk of Ionia; sisters Dawn (Darrell) Reynolds of Ionia, Kim (Mike) 
Danielski of Illinois, Deanna Parker of Grand Rapids and Lori (Wayne) 
Christiansen of Grand Ledge and one grandchild Caiden.

He was preceded in death by his father John H. Stowell, his grandparents and 
one nephew Neil.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church Tuesday, 11 a.m.  
The family will receive friends and relatives 3:30-5:30 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
Monday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  In lieu of flowers you may make 
memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or to the Family.
