DORR N. STOWELL DIES AT AGE OF 80
   Dorr N. Stowell, 80, died Sunday at his home northwest of Woodland.  He was a
former Barry county school 
teacher and Woodland township school board member, a member of the Methodist church
and Woodland F. & 
A.M. lodge.
   Mr. Stowell graduated from Woodland school and then from Michigan State College
in 1892.  He taught 
school for twelve years in Woodland, Prairieville, Fisher and Coats Grove districts
before returning to the farm.
   Surviving are his wife Gertrude, two daughters Mrs. Grace Noble of Kalamazoo and
Mrs. Doreen Hartmand 
of Vicksburg; two sons Dr. Ira T Stowell of San Antonio, Tex. and Verdon of Woodland
and nine grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Woodland Methodist church with burial
in Lakeside cemetery 
under auspices of the F. & A.M. lodge.
