Russell H. Stowell, age 69, of Ionia, passed away October 27, 2006 in Ionia.  
He was born June 23, 1937 in Ionia the son of Russell B. and Gertrude 
(Neustifter) Stowell. Russell was a graduate of Ionia High School class of 
1955. He attended MSU and he worked for MDOT for 30 years, retiring in 1996. 
He was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge.

Russell is survived by his fiance' Terri Lynn Geldersma of Ionia and his 
sister Judy and Bill Lobdell of Ionia.  He was preceded in death by his sister 
Beverly Redemsky.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Monday, 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery 
in Lowell. You may make a memorial contribution in Russell's name to Ionia 
High School Athletic Program.
