Belding Banner, 25 Oct 1922

Bertha Carpenter was born in Easton township, April 7, 1872 and moved with her 
parents to the Brink neighborhood when very young, and lived there until her 
marriage to Eugene Stower in 1903 when she and husband went to the western part 
of the United States and lived until her death, October 19, 1922, at Mountain 
View, Missouri.  She leaves to mourn their loss a faithful husband; Eugene 
Stower, her mother, Mrs. Sarah Chase, one brother Eddie Carpenter, a sister, 
Mrs. Clara Tolerton, two step brothers, Ernie and Will Chase, all of and near 
Belding, except the husband, of Mountain View.  Funeral this afternoon from the 
Brown-Hall undertaking parlor.  Sermon by H. E. Curch.  Burial in the old 
cemetery.
