Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 May 1977

Ionia – Services for Sigurd Strand were Saturday afternoon from First
Presbyterian Church with Rev. George Douma officiating.  Burial was in Balcom
cemetery.  Bearers were Mort Slowinski, John Jensen, Terry Phelps, Jerry
Gregory, Martin McNamara and James Hood.  Honorary bearers were Leo McAlvey,
Frank Mercado and Ray Jameson.  Luncheon was served at the church of the
Nazarene on Tuttle road after graveside services.
