Ionia County News, 18 Jan 1945

Rev. Theodore Strauss, minister of St. Paul’s Lutheran church from 1938 to 1944, 
died in a hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio, Monday, Jan. 15.  Death was caused by 
pneumonia.  Funeral service was held in Port Clinton, Thursday morning.

Rev. Strauss is survived by the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Esther Nichols, Ionia, 
and a son, Lieut. Theodore Strauss, with the U.S. army air forces.
