She was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Palo, the daughter of Amasa and Maude Davis Hancock. Maggie was a homemaker where she loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed camping and liked to fish and hunt for mushrooms. She married Ernest L. “Ernie” Strecker on Nov. 12, 1937, in Cedar Springs. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifford Hancock; and sister-in-law, Eileen Hancock. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Strecker; their children, Harold and Charlene Strecker of Stanton, Geraldine and Jack Robach of Orleans, Arlene Cunningham and her fiancé Kevin Hulliberger of Belding; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Rosella Hancock of Fenwick, Charles Hancock of Cedar Springs; and sisters and brothers-in-law Lilah Cardinal of Sheridan, Genieva and Carl Bloomquist of Palo, Freda and Gordon Piggott of Hubbardston. Funeral and committal services are 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Hen Harger officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
