ERNEST L. STRECKER
Ernest L. Strecker, 101, of Belding, passed away Thursday evening Feb. 4, 2016 
at home. Ernest was born in Harvard, Michigan on Feb. 11, 1914, the son of Doran 
and Rosella Strecker. He retired after 35 years with Extruded Metals in 1979. He 
enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering with things and always had a nice blueberry 
patch. Ernest married Maggie Hancock in Cedar Springs on Nov. 12, 1937 and she 
preceded him in 2005.

He was also preceded by his daughter Geraldine in 2013; siblings, Frank, Lewis 
Gertie, Floss and Blanche; and a a great grandson, Joseph Thomas Prentler.

Ernest is loved and survived by his children, Arlene Cunningham of Belding and 
Harold (Charlene) Strecker of Stanton; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 
and 36 great-great-grandchildren; funeral services will be 2:30 PM. Monday, Feb. 
8, 2016 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger 
officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home and 
one hour before the service. Memmorials may be given to Shiloh Community Church.
