Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 from the 
Hubbardston Methodist church for Mrs. Cora Strickling, 83, wife of Gideon 
Strickling.  Mrs. Strickling passed away at Clinton Memorial Hospital, St. 
Johns, on Monday evening, June 7, at 9:20.  She had been seriously ill for a 
week.

Rev. Paul Richards, pastor of the church, will officiate at the services which 
are in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City.  Interment will be in 
the West Side cemetery at Hubbardston.

Cora Edith Strickling was born July 1, 1870 at Hubbardston.  On February 22, 
1893 she was united in marriage with Gideon E. Strickling and they have lived 
in the same house at Hubbardston for the past 61 years. 

Surviving, besides the husband, is one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Florian of 
Detroit, and a grandson, Capt. William Chick serving with the U. S. Army.
