She had been in ill health for several months and left her work at the Lake Odessa Produce Co. during the summer because of her health. She had been employed there for 5 1/2 years. She had lived in this area since 1931, and was a former resident of Millbrook. Surviving are her husband Merrill S.; four daughters, Mrs. Ray (Barbara) Brandt and Mrs. Jack (Donna) Gradner of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Furlong and Mrs. Norman (Beverly) Allerding of Hastings; four sons, Ted of Coral, William with the army in Germany, David and Cecil of Lake Odessa; ten grand children; five sisters, Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Owosso, Mrs. Iva Taggert and Mrs. Josphine Morgan of Freeport, Mrs. Violet Main of Lakeview and Mrs. Bernice Hayes of Hastings; three brothers, Jack Rose of Phoenix, Arizona, William and Paul Rose of Hastings. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm at the Pickens funeral chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Robert Betts officiated.
