Stringham, died at the home of George W. Davenport in Danby on Sunday morning last of tuberculosis of the throat, aged 72 years. Mrs. Stringham had been housekeeper for Mr. Davenport, who is her brother-in-law, for some months, but she had been ill since last December. She is survived by one child, A.A. Stringham of this village. It was just five years to a day between her husband’s and her own death. Funeral services were conducted from the Portland Methodist church, of which she was a member, Tuesday afternoon. Deceased was a native of Clarence, Erie county, N.Y., but came to Washtenaw county, this state, with her parents more than 70 years ago. She had been a resident of Portland 45 years. She was a pensioner of the Civil war.
