Ionia Sentinel – Saturday, 3 September 1949
Mrs. Nora H. Strong, 75, widow of Frank N. Strong died Friday September 2 at 
Romeo where she had been seriously ill for the past month in a convalescent 
home.  She had been in poor health for the past year.

She was born in 1874 in Berlin Township, Ionia County, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Ezra Howell.  She spent her early life there and attended Ionia schools.  
Following her marriage they lived on farms in Easton and Ionia city.  They 
later operated a business called Strong Produce Company in Ionia.  Mr. Strong 
died in 1936.

She is survived by two sons, Maurice L. of Grosse Pointe and Norman of Belding 
Route 2; eight grandchildren; and one sister Mr. Belle Gates of Pontiac.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 pm at Stone-Kauffman funeral 
home. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
