IOnia Sentinel - 18 June 1962
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at German Baptist 
church on Vedder and Darby roads for Mrs. Estella Strong, 73, who died Monday 
forenoon at the home of her son Richard Strong, 822 Washington Boulevard, Lake 
Odessa.  Mrs. Strong had been ill about a year.  She was born in Ionia County 
in July 1888 and was a lifelong resident.  She was the daughter of Moses and 
Ella Fry and was married to Roy Strong in 1904.  Prior to residing with her son 
the past several months, Mrs. Strong lived on a farm on Tischer road, west of 
Lake Odessa.  Mr. Strong died in 1954.  Mrs. Strong was a member of German 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Marion Strong of Indianapolis, Ind., and Richard of 
Lake Odessa; and six grandchildren.
The body will be at the Richard Strong home where prayer service will be held 
Wednesday at 1:30 pm.  The body will be taken to the German Baptist church for 
service at 2 o’clock.  Burial will be at Clarksville cemetery.  Funeral 
arrangements are by Beattie funeral home in Clarksville.
