Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. June 22, 1971

Mrs. Kathryn H. Strong, 90, of 325 Kearney, Portland, died Monday at a 
convalescent home in Hastings. He was a long time resident of the Sunfield and 
Portland areas.

She was born October 7, 1880 in Lapeer. She was a member of Portland 
Congregational church and its guild; past worthy matron of Sunfield OES and 
member of Portland chapter OES; also member of Worthy Matrons club of Portland.
Surviving are two sons, Earl of Portland and Elmond of Wayland; five 
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edna Kenyon of Portland.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 pm at Neller funeral home in 
Portland. Rev. Richard Bayles will officiate and interment will be at Portland 
cemetery.

Bearers will be Richard and Ernest Strong, Norcan Kenyon Julian Howland, 
Kenneth Kaumeyer and James Hobner.
