Mrs. Alice Strong, 84 years old, died at the Michigan soldiers’ home in Grand 
Rapids Tuesday afternoon following a month’s illness.  Mrs. Strong was born in 
Ionia, but lived most of her life in Greenville, going about eight years ago to 
the soldiers’ home.  Her husband, Henry Strong, a harness maker in Greenville 
for a number of years, died nine years ago.  Mrs. Cassie Merritt, of Detroit, 
is the only living relative. 

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Faber funeral home in 
Greenville, with interment at Balcom cemetery.
