MAURICE L. STRONG
Maurice L. Strong, 71, former Ionia resident and former Ionia high school athletic
star, died at his home in Grosse Pointe Park, February 6.

Born May 2, 1904, to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strong in Ionia, he attended Albion college,
where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega, and completed his education  at Harvard business
school.

He was owner of Strong Vending company and Executive Sales, Inc., and formerly 
merchandising manager at the Crowley-Milners of Detroit.

Services for Mr. Strong, were February 9 at 2:30 pm in the Barbour chapel of Grosse
Pointe Memorial church with Dr. Ray H. Kiely officiating.

Survivors include his wife Florence; a son Maurice L. Jr.; for grandchildren; and a
brother, Norman.

Gifts may be made to the Michigan Diabetis Association or Grosse Pointe Memorial
church tribute fund.
