"Belding Man Who Was in Buffalo Bill Show Dies"

Arthur R. Strong, 63, of Belding, a former actor with Buffalo Bill Wild West 
show, died Tuesday, May 29, at Bradenton, Fla., after being ill for five 
months.

Born Sept. 5, 1887, the son of E. Baxter and Frances Strong, he was an actor 
with the famous show as a youth. He later became a barber and was employed 
in the Michigan territory for 25 years as a salesman for Commercial 
Wallpaper company of Hammond, Ind. He married Margaret Cusser of Belding,  
Nov. 14, 1925.

He leaves besides the wife, a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Holmes of Mara Copa, 
Calif.

His is a charter member of the Belding American Legion post and a member of 
the F. and A.M. and the Royal Arch lodge.

Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Fales-Huffman funeral with the 
Rev. Johnson, Congregational minister officiating. Interment will be in 
River Ridge Cemetery.
