Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday April 5, 1951

T.M. STRONG DIED IN SARASOTA, FLORIDA
Thomas M.Strong passed away Tuesday, March 27 in the Sarasota hospital at 
Sarasota, Fla.

Mr and Mrs Strong resided for nine years in lake Odessa and were the originators 
of the famous Martha's candies. Selling their business a year and a half ago, 
they moved to Sarasota where they had previously spent the winter months for 
many years.

Survivors include widow, Martha Strong, a son Chris Strong, and a daughter 
Mrs.Edward Haas, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday March 29 at 2 p.m. with Rev.Hall of The Bay Haven 
Baptist church officiating. Burial was made at the Manasota cemetery.
