STRONG, CORANETTA (FLEMING)(MRS. EUGENE):
   Undated, unnamed newspaper:  "Deaths - MRS. ETTA TAYLOR, 76, of Easton died
Monday morning at 1:27 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph H.
Hummel, 1436 Thomas street, SE, Grand Rapids, where she has resided since
August, 1947.
  She was born December 31, 1871, in Easton, the daughter of Robert and Maria
Fleming, two of Easton's earliest settlers.  In 1890 she married Eugene Strong
and in June, 1920 was married to Hiram Taylor who died May, 1938.  She has been
a lifelong resident in Ionia county until last August and is a member of the
Evangelical U. B. church.
   Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hummel of Grand Rapids, Miss Lena Strong
of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Arthur Hopkins of Ionia; four grandchildren; thirteen
great grandchildren; two sisters, a twin Mrs. Vern Simmons of Ionia and Mrs
Arthur Watkins of South Ionia.
   Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Boynton's
funeral home with interment in the family lot in Easton cemetery.
   The Rev. A. R. Kuehn will officiate."

   Second article:  "MRS. ETTA TAYLOR - Services for Mrs. Etta Taylor, formerly
of Ionia, who died at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hummel, of Grand
Rapids Monday morning were held from Boynton's funeral home at 3:30 o'clock
Wednesday afternoon.  Burial was in the family lot at Easton cemetery.  Services
were conducted by the Rev. A. R. Kuehn.
   Bearers were Harold Simmons, Jack Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins, Ed. Horn, Perry
Watkins and Charles H. Watkins.
   Out-of-town persons attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. H. Leuder and
Mrs. Emil Leuder and Karleen of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Fay Strong of Owosso; Herman
Pease of Eagle; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Strong of Charlotte; Mrs. Edna Raye, Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Horn, Mrs. Tom Latimer and Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Alspaugh of Lansing, Miss Ann Alspaugh of Traverse City; Mrs. Lyman
Grieves, Mrs. J. R. McClary, Mrs. Bernice Fuller, Mrs. Halsted Pullen, Joseph
Engleman, Hrs. Harold Ronda, Mrs Ross McCauley; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hummell, Mrs.
Albert Larnik, Rosemary and Margaret, Mrs. B. Kuiphoff, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Snyder and Mrs. Allen Snyder of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Lancaster of
Otsego, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hopkins of Big Rapids."
