Ionia Sentinel Standard
STRONG, LENA A.: 
  SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MI, 7-17-1981:  "LENA E. STRONG, 88, of Ionia died
Thurdsday evening in Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Easton
Township Dec. 26, 1892, the daughter of Eugene and Etta Fleming Strong.  She
attended schools in Ionia and graduated from Davenport Business College, Grand
Rapids.
   She moved to Ann Arbor and worked in The University of Michigan Hospital's
administration and insurance department, which she headed before her retirement
in 1960.  She was a member of business and professional women's groups in Grand
Rapids and Ann Arbor.
   Following retirement she returned to make her home in Ionia.  She is survived
by two sisters, Mrs. Maida Lanford of Canada and Mrs. Edith Hopkins of Ionia.
   Funeral serives will be Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, the
Rev. Dr. Roy Pitts officiating.  Burial in Easton Cemetery.
   The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday."
