Samuel Strong, for 50 years an esteemed resident of Keene township, died
Thursday of dropsy.  He was 75 years of age, and is survived by a widow, one
daughter, Mrs. Albert Hunter, of Keene, and one son, Marcena Strong of Lansing.

Avon-Keene:  After a long and serious illness Samuel Strong passed away at his
home in this township Thursday, May 22.  Funeral services were held at the late
residence Sunday at 2:30 o’clock.  Interment in Saranac cemetery.

Avon-Keene:  Marcenice Strong was called here from Grand Rapids by the death of
his father.
