The Ionia Standard, Thursday, November 11, 1875
Many of our readers will be deeply pained to hear of the death of Mrs. Abbie 
Strong, daughter of Benj. Harter of this city.  Her death was not unexpected.  
A slight cold contracted a year or two since had run into consumption and all 
efforts to regain her health proved unavailing.  The funeral will be held in 
Kalamazoo at two o’clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.
