Clarksville – Edgar O. Strong, 78, died Wednesday afternoon at Ionia County
Memorial hospital after an illness of several weeks.

He was born in Campbell township the son of Elisha and Sarah Hines Strong.  He
was married to the former Ada Clum who died many years ago, and was later
married to Etha Richardson who survives.

Besides his wife, Etha, he is survived by two children by his first marriage,
Don Strong of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Marvel (Gwenneth) Neeb of Clarksville; three
brothers, Sherman I. Strong, of Shrewsbury, N. J., a retired Army Colonel, Logan
Strong of Massilon, Ohio, and Loren Strong of Grand Rapids; and two sisters,
Mrs. Herbert (Vera) Geiger of Clarksville, and Mrs. Roy (Opal) Houghton of Lake
Odessa.

Funeral service will be held at Grace Brethren church Saturday at 2 p.m. with
burial at Clarksville cemetery.
