The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 21, 1967


Leslie Strouse, 68, Hastings, died noon Friday in Pennock hospital where he had 
been a patient a few days.  A long time resident of Hastings he lived on a farm 
before moving to the city.  He is a member of Wesleyan Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; four sons, Vernon of Lowell, Richard of Detroit, 
Ellsworth of Hastings and Leslie at home; two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Young  Lake 
Odessa, Mrs. Robert Baldry of Freeport; 21 grandchildren and 8 great 
grandchildren.; three stepsons and two stepdaughters; four brothers, Ernest of 
Belding, Marion of Alto, Frnak of Carington, N.C., Earl of Hastings, and two 
sisters, Mrs. John Tisch of Lowell and Mrs. Clinton Blocker of Alto.

Funeral services will be January 23 at 1 p.m. at Pickens chapel in Lake 
Odessa.  Burial in Courtland cemetery at Rockford.
