Struble, 72, of Muir, died Monday, February 26, 1996 at his centennial farm. He was boron on December 21, 1923, in Lyons Township on the centennial farm, where he spent his entire life. He was the son of Harry E. and Nellie I. (Settle) Struble and was educated in Muir and Ionia. He was a graduate of Ionia High School. He married the former Betty Robinson in 1946 in Ionia County. He was a farmer all of his life and also was employed by the state of Michigan at the State Hospital in Ionia and as a meat inspector for the State Agriculture Department until retiring. He was an avid antique machinery collector, belonged to the State Employees Retirement Association and attended Muir Presbyterian church. He is survived by daughters Janet (David) Black, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Barbara (Douglas) Moore, of Battle Creek; nine grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; brother L. B. (Betty) Struble, of Ionia; sister Marilyn (Harry) Baldwin, of Ionia; mother-in-law Marion Robinson, of the Ionia Manor; nieces and nephews; and special friend Marie Northrup. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 1991, son James and sister Ruth Muth. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Muir Presbyterian Church, on Prospect Street, with Rev. Don Wells officiating. Interment will be in Muir Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel.
