The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 10, 1908

There was a large attendance at the funeral of Levi Strunk, at the home on 
East Main street, Wednesday afternoon.  Twenty old soldiers were out, under 
the post commander, and about 25 members of the W.R.C.  The service was by 
Rev. Dr. Cogshall, and the singing by Mrs. Eugene Smith and Mrs. W. C. Peer.  
The service was every way appropriate to a man, whose patriotism has been 
attested by full service in war, and by good citizenship at all times.  The 
bearers, selected from post, were: R. R. Covert, J. Bessey, W. A. Wood, J. H. 
Greenman, John Eckerman, and N. L. Brookins.  Interment Highland Park.
