Lyons Herald, 15 Jul 1909

Mrs. Julia C. Stryker died at Portland and was brought to Lyons for burial last 
week Tuesday.  She was the mother of Adelbert Stryker of this village, who with 
his wife attended the funeral services held at the Baptist Church at Portland.

Deceased was born in New York state in 1835 and was married to Martin B. Stryker 
in 1862.  She was a member of the W.R.C. and Rebekah Lodge of Portland and had 
been identified with the Baptist Church for over 60 years.  Members of the local 
W.R.C. and G.A.R. were present at the interment in Lyons cemetery.
