Bruce Stuart
Lake Odessa, MI -  Bruce Stuart, age 94, of Lake Odessa, went to be with his Lord on

January 3, 2018 at his home with his three three children.

Bruce was born on December 17, 1923 to Ensley and Mae (Hunter) Stuart. He proudly 
served his country in the Army during WWW II . On April 17, 1947, Bruce married the
love of his life, Glenna June Darby. He was a talented softball player and in his youth
hunting and fishing were both passions. Bruce enjoyed being with his family. Card and board
games brought a lot of joy to Bruce and showed his competitive nature. Above all he loved
his family and will be dearly missed.

Bruce leaves behind children, Paul (Betty) Stuart, Bonnie (Herb) Rush and Joan (Tim)
Walsh who shares his birthday; grandchildren, Craig (Leslie) Rush, Brian (Janet)
Rush, Tim (fiance Samantha) Stuart, Todd Stuart and Zachariah (Rachel Anna) Lafler; cherished
granddaughter and caregiver Lynsey Grimes; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alec, Sophie,
Logan, Peyton, Brody, Brogen and Elijah; sister, Natalie Seelig.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; siblings, Alice Rudd, Esther
Brooks, Margaret Rose, Mike Stuart.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Stuart, Jamie and staff, along
with Great Lakes Caring Hospice for making Bruce comfortable at home.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 from 1 until 3 and 5 until 7 p.m. at
Koops Funeral Chapel in lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lakewood United
Methodist church. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, lake Odessa.

Memorial contributions can be given to Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Online
