June 6, 2009 WOODLAND- Wendell E. Studt, loving husband of Sarah Studt, of Woodland, peacefully left us to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2009, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Wendell was born on June 25, 1933 in Lake Odessa, to Fay and Mabel Studt. He attended Woodland High School, and spent his life in the Woodland area. Wendell spent a lifetime doing what he loved the most…fishing! He incorporated this passion into his life-long business, Wendell’s Wholesale Bait. Wendell attended Kilpatrick Church where he was loved and respected. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife, Sarah; children, Marla (Herb) Rickloff, Kris Studt, Gary (Cindy) Studt, Dana (Charlie Baker) Studt, Brenda Studt, Deanna (Duane) Musbach, Shellene (Kelly) Cross, and Teresa (Jason) McLeo; 18 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and was awaiting the arrival of two more great grandbabies. Wendell is also survived by Danish exchange student, Kris Jensen; and numerous family members and friends. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kilpatrick Church Building Fund, or to the Lakewood Athletic Association.
