At the time of going to press funeral arrangements were pending, waiting word from a son in Chicago. Mrs. Sturdevant had been a resident of Portland for many years, residing on Water street. Following the fall two months ago from which she received severe hip injuries, she went to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florie McConnell, at Coral. Failing to improve under the treatment of doctors at that place she decided to return to Portland and take treatment from her own family physician. On account of her home being closed for several weeks and the fear of a flood in Grand river, it was decided best to take her to the Worden Hotel where she arrived Monday. Besides the daughter at Coral she is survived by another daughter, Iris, who teaches at the North Eagle school, and one son, James, a dentist in Chicago.
