Succop, 86, of Ionia, died Sunday at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 3, 1906, in Detroit, the daughter of the Rev. Louis and Ottilie Grauer List. She was a member of the Detroit Bach Chorus, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Martin W.; four daughters, Katherine Daugherty of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Dorothy Schroeder of Farmington, Helen Succop of Birmingham, Alabama, and Carol Thieme of Decatur, Indiana; four grandchildren; one brother, Ted List of Saginaw; and two sisters, Dorothy Nitz of Farmington Hills and Esther List of Saginaw. She was preceded in death by one sister, Frieda List. Funeral and Committal Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Ionia, with the Rev. Theodore Voll officiating. The organist will be Judy Nobis. The family will be at the Rich St. Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, Ionia from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers will be Robert Schroeder, Marty and James Thieme, and Michael and Ned Daugherty. A memorial has been established for a cause of one’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
