Born Jan. 1, 1898, the son of Jeremiah and Nellie Graham Sullivan, he was a 1918 graduate of Shelby High School. He married Gertrude Schouten in Grand Rapids in December, 1920. She died in 1921. Sullivan then married Amber DeWitt Oct. 12, 1929. They made their home in Fenton. In 1963, he retired from the AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors and moved to Florida. His wife, Amber, died in 1970. Sullivan moved to Saranac in 1970. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Len (Ellen) Van Nieuwenhuyzen of rural Ionia; two stepsons, Donald DeWitt of Muskegon and Rolly DeWitt of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; five step grandchildren, one great grandchild; 12 step great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence McMann of Grand Haven and Mrs. Geraldine Churchill of Hart. Services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nolan Williams of the Easton United Methodist Church officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Michigan Heart Association. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
