Lake Odessa Wave-Times Fri.January 18, 1918

                      CORNELIUS SULLIVAN DEAD

Cornelius Sullivan, a farmer living west of Lake Odessa and midway between 
Clarksville and Freeport and the father of Mrs.Samuel Velte and sister Miss 
Margaret Sullivan who is attending our High School, died very suddenly at his 
home last week Tuesday.

Mr.Sullivan, who had just returned from the barn was taken seriously ill, and 
died in a few minutes.Death is said to have resulted from a blood clot on the 
brain.

On account of the severe storm the funeral could not be held until Tuesday of 
this week.

A son William of Houston,Texas, came all the way to attend his father's funeral 
but was held up on account of the storm in Grand Raids and arrived Tuesday 
night.
