He had made his home with Mr. Rozelle for several months. Funeral services were held at the Bandfield chapel on Monday afternoon, and burial was in Portland cemetery. Bearers were Floyd Ingraham, Loren Proctor, Robert Carr and R. E. Strong. Rev. Smith, of Lansing, former local Nazarene minister, officiated at the funeral. Mr. Sumner was born in Clinton county 83 years ago. His wife died in 1932. The following children survive: Henry Sumner and Mrs. May Lovell, White Cloud; Mrs. Elizabeth Bonnette, Lansing; Elmer and Ward (Mike) Sumner, Portland.
