The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 9, 1983

Emma Neva Sumner, 76, of 707 S. Bromwyn Drive, Anaheim, Calif., former 
Portland and Lake Odessa resident, died Nov. 7 in Anaheim.  She was born Nov. 
1, 1907, in Lake Odessa, the daughter of William and Mabel Wilson.  Her 
husband, Joseph, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, William of California, Ed of Saranac, and 
Melvin of Missouri; three daughters, Frances Adams of Oceanside, Calif.; 
Marjorie Foster of Alpena, and Evelyn Alleyn of Lansing; 21 grandchildren; 
eight great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Wilson of California; Estella 
Robinson of Lake Odessa, and Vivian Stephens of Kingsport, Tenn.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home.  
Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
