RAYMOND SUNDELL 1956-2017
Pastor Raymond Roger Sundell, age 60 of Ionia, Mi passed away on April 14, 
2017 at Mayo Clinic with his family by his side. He was born on Dec. 29, 1956 
in Tonawanda, NY the son of Ralph and Jean (McFarland) Sundell. Raymond was a 
graduate of Fenton High School, Class of 1975. He married Jennifer Lackey on 
September 10, 1977 in Fenton, MI. Raymond attended John Wesley College. He 
was also a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and Garret Evangelical 
Theological Seminary.

Raymond was a United Methodist Pastor for 30 years, most recently at LeValley 
United Methodist Church and Berlin Center Parrish in Ionia. He coached girls' 
and boys' basketball teams and baseball teams for many years. Raymond was a 
regular on Ask the Pastor Television on TCT Network.

Raymond is survived by his parents, Ralph and Jean; wife, Jennifer; sons, 
Jason (Christine) Sundell of Lansing, Jordan (Keri) Sundell of Warren, Joshua 
(Taylor) Sundell of Marshall; granddaughter, Breckyn Sundell; brother Gary 
Sundell ofBelleville; sister, Carol Sundell of Belleville.

Funeral services for Raymond will be held Saturday, April 22nd 12 p.m. at 
LeValley United Methodist Church 4018 Kelsey Hwy., Ionia, MI 48846 with 
Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 10 a.m.-12 
p.m. at the church. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to ALS 
Association, Michigan Chapter 678 Front st. NW Ste 177, Grand Rapids, MI 
49504. Arrangements made by Lake funeral Home of Saranac. Online condolences
