Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, April 8, 1943

Burial services will be in Highland Park cemetery on Saturday afternoon at 1 
o'clock for Miss Ruby Sunderlin, a former Ionian, who died at her home in 
Lansing Wednesday shortly after 12 o'clock noon. Funeral services will be 
held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Estes-Ledley funeral home, 
Lansing. Rev. A.J. Westmaas, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of 
Ionia will officiate. 

Miss Sunderlin is survived by a sister, Miss Dacie Sunderlin of Lansing. A 
brother, Harry E. Sunderlin, Ionia's first mail carrier, died in January, 
1938 at his home in Ionia. He retired from the mail carrier service in 1939 
at his home in Ionia. He retired from the mail carrier service in 1930, 
after carrying mail in Ionia for 43 years.
