Mrs. Mary Jane (Rushford) Surine, 73, of Hastings Route 4, died Tuesday at 3:20
a.m. following an extended illness.  She was born in Ionia and lived here until
20 years ago.

Funeral services are to be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home in
Ionia with interment at Highland Park cemetery.  The Rev. Heath Goodwin, pastor
of the Methodist church, will officiate.

Surviving are the husband, James of Hastings; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Coleman of
Battle Creek; a grand daughter; one great-grandson; and a brother, William
Shattuck, of Ionia.
