Leon Dell "Pete" Sutherland of Woodland
Died April 24, 2020-age 81 at Grand Rapids Blodgett Campus of Spectrum Health
Born June 16, 1938 at Lake Odessa-son of Merle & Velma (Schlappi) Sutherland.
Served in Army as Radio Operator in Korea.
Honor Guard for Jackson Muchler Post #4461 for 20 years.
Worked for GM in Skilled trades until retirement.
Leon was an avid hunter, Fisherman and golfer.
Survived by his Wife, Gloria, Daughter, Shelly (Jeff) Dickinson; Son, Leon 
(Danielle) Sutherland; Grandchildren; Amy, Adam (liz), Ryan (Hayley), Caleb 
(Brandi), 5 Great-Grandchildren, siblings; Scotty Keusch and John (Linda) 
Sutherland. 
Preceded in death by Daughter, Lori Lee Sutherland, Father, Merle Sutherland, 
Sr., Mother, Velma Myrtle Sutherland, siblings, Merle Sutherland Jr., Milo 
Sutherland & Alma Kruger.
A private burial will be at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery, with public 
celebration of Leon's life at a later date.
