                         Maude Sutherland Buried Saturday

Mrs.Maude Sutherland, 73, passed away at her home at 109 1/2 W.Main street, 
Thursday evening after a long period of ill health. She continued to grow worse 
after a siege of pneumonia during the winter.

The daughter of Warren and Sarah Shepard, she was born June 7,1880 at Ball 
Creek, and had lived in this city for forty years. She was married to Frank 
Sutherland, April 16, 1917, and he died about ten years ago.

Mrs.Sutherland is survived by one sister,Miss Bessie Shepard, with whom she made 
her home. The only other survivors are nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Fitzjohn Funeral Home at 3 o'clock with Rev. 
Lester Clough officiating and burial was in the old Belding Cemetery. Pall 
bearers were Percy Outman, Ervin Burns, Clair Peterman, Bert NcNaughton, Frank 
VanVlerah and Lynn Higgins.
