Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Oct. 7, 2008

Thomas Clare Sutliff, aged 78, of Ionia passed away Oct. 6, 2008.

He was born Sept. 2, 1930 in Detroit the son of Clare F. and Jenny M. 
(Tripfeller) Sutliff. He married Shirley Zeigler April 11, 1954 in Indiana. He 
was involved in church leadership for many years. He loved to bowl hunt, camp, 
fish and Little League.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Sutliff of Ionia; children Thomas (Lillian) 
Sutliff Jr. of Lake Odessa, Donna Campbell of Ionia, Patricia Gonzalez of 
Barton, Fla., George (Barb) Sutliff of Ionia and Clare (Tami) Sutliff of Lake 
Odessa; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and 
sisters-and –brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 
grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Roy Atherton officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. 
Visitation will be on Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 1-3 p.m. at the Funeral  
Home. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the Sutliff Family.
